Annie Richards - Level 5
Hi my name is Annie. I have worked in childcare for 12 years and hold a Foundation Degree in Early Years. Having a child myself, I can relate to other parents and find this along with my training helps me reflect my practice. I am First Aid trained, and am the designated Safeguarding Lead within Foundation Stage. My career started with being a room leader of a Toddler Room and then went on to manage a Day Nursery and a village Pre-School.
I started here at Hanwell Fields Community School in September 2014 to lead our Ladybirds Pre-Nursery and I am extremely passionate and proud of the work we do here. I find it particularly rewarding to see how a child’s experience in Ladybirds impacts on their entry to school.
Katie Baldry - Level 5
Hi, I’m Katie. I have worked in Child Care for the last 3 years and have a Degree in Childhood Studies. I have experience with caring for young babies as well as caring for Pre-School age children. These experiences have been invaluable by seeing the importance of child hood development. My studies and experiences have given me a broad understanding of what is needed to nurture and develop children throughout their early education.
Carla Jones - Level 3 ( NVQ in Child Care)
Hi my name is Carla. I have been working at Hanwell Fields Community School for the past 6 years. I have worked in the Early Years setting for the past 5 years. I am currently a Level 2 Teaching Assistant and due to soon complete my Level 3 NVQ in Child Care and Development. I am a mum of two children aged 9 and 14. I use this experience in my day to day role, which makes me extremely approachable and understanding how daunting it can be sending your children to their very first setting.
Shellie Drake-Law – Level 3 ( NVQ in Child Care)
Hi my name is Shellie. I have been working at Hanwell Fields Community School for the past 4 years, starting out as a volunteer before completing my Level 2 Teaching Assistant course and joining the Foundation Team. Now, I am aiming to complete my Level 3 NVQ in Child Care and Development. I have an 8 year old son who also attends HFCS and I use these skills, along with my current training to support and guide the children I meet in Ladybirds, helping them to settle in and nurturing them to progress on their wonderful journey.
